Membership into the John Walsh Jersey Shore chapter of the Irish American Cultural Institute is open to anyone with an interest in the culture of Ireland – its history, language, literature, music and art. The chapter holds monthly programs which focus on some aspect of Irish culture.

The John Walsh Jersey Shore chapter was established in 2015 by Dr. Peter Halas of Sea Girt, who is the current IACI Chairman of the Chapter. The chapter was a long-desired goal of Halas, and it has hosted programs featuring local experts on Irish history and talented musicians who have educated, entertained and enthralled the group at its monthly meetings.
